Written By: CJ Hall

Sunni Colón makes an exciting return with a new track and visuals, "Dream About You All Through the Night," powerfully blending vulnerability with emotional depth and strength to create a resonant and euphoric experience for his listeners.

Sunni captivated us with his last project, JúJú & The Flowerbug in 2022 and has been maintaining a low profile since. Now he delights fans with a first taste of new work, rearming his status as an artist. The new single pairs 70s lush instrumentation with introspective lyrics that dive into themes of love and longing.

In Dream About You All Through the Night, Colón continues to articulate his personal philosophy of living in the moment, drawing inspiration from life experiences, particularly emphasizing the power of love and connection. “Creation stems from vulnerability. That openness we unlock reveals purity and sets the tone for honesty,” he says in an interview.

The Los Angeles native has seamlessly blended genres, drawing from jazz, R&B, soul, and electronic influences to craft a dynamic sound proving he is a multifaceted storyteller.

He describes his creative process as drawing from various forms of music and life experiences, which he believes brings a unique purity to his artistry. The versatility is unmistakable in earlier songs like, “Technicolor” and “Mornin Dew;” both dynamic pieces that capture the essence of a transparent and fresh listening experience.

In the accompanying visuals, Colón puts on his director’s hat taking viewers on a journey to Rio De Janeiro where he spends the day in the neighborhood among locals. The use of dierent colors and nostalgic romanticism reflect the warming tones present in his music, adding layers of depth and emotion.

While Sunni Colón remains lowkey about details on any potential upcoming projects, "Dream About You All Through The Night" maintains the essence of older albums like, Satin Psicodelic. Stay tuned for updates from the emerging multihyphenate, and in the meantime, dive into his latest single and its captivating video.
